KCA Officials met Kollam Bishop Dr Rev. Stanley Roman
KCA officials Chairman Mr Shajan Joseph, General Secretary Dr Shaji Joseph, Media Director Mr Mervin Peter, Recreation Director Sebastian Danny George and Director Stanley E Napoleon met Rev. Dr Stanley Roman at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, New South Gate on 12 June 2014.
Kerala Latin Catholic Chaplain Fr. Johnson Alexander also accompanied the Bishop. Bishop Stanley Roman was impressed with the work of the Association over the last 30 years and the incorporation of the youth into the Director Board.
Officials at the meeting raised concerns about the division within the UK Catholic community and Bishop had promised to advise Fr Johnson Alexander to engage more with the community to bring communal harmony. Bishop Stanley promised once he arrives back to India, he will be in touch with ArchBishop of Trivandrum Dr. Rev Soosa Pakiam to devise a working arrangement for both the Kerala Latin Catholic Chaplaincy and KCA. Chairman Mr Shajan Joseph stated that KCA will make necessary arrangements and will work hard to bring unity in the community. Bishop Stanley was impressed with the contributions of Messrs. Sebastian Danny George and Mervin Peter towards the Association and their concerns were given special consideration. Bishop Stanley said he is looking towards the future of KCA in organising worldwide Pilgrimages in which invitations should be sent out to Fr Johnson Alexander. KCA officials felt a positive atmosphere and had seen it as a very productive meeting.
